FAQ's

What is pediatric occupational therapy?

Pediatric occupational therapy serves children from birth to adolescence by focusing on physical, sensory, cognitive or developmental challenges that impact their ability to perform everyday tasks independently. Through purposeful play, our goal is to provide the development of skills they need to grow, learn, play, and interact with others at home, at school, and in daily life.

What ages do you treat?

At this time, we serve children ages birth to 18 years old.

Where does the evaluation and treatment take place?

The initial evaluation and treatment will take place within the child’s natural environment whether that is home, school or public places. Through this model, research shows kids are more likely to retain and use skills when learned in familiar, real-world settings. Therapists work with caregivers to embed strategies into daily routines. Children are more engaged in activities that are meaningful and part of their normal life.

Do I need a referral for occupational therapy?

Early Bloom Pediatric Therapy is an out of network occupational therapy provider. Secondary to this, a physician referral is not required as services are paid out of pocket.
